Guillermo Rivera Gonzalez, PhD, is a scientist, entrepreneur, and 2025 JSMF Venture Fellow at BioGenerator Ventures. He earned his PhD from the University of York in the United Kingdom, completed postdoctoral training at Yale University, and conducted research at Washington University in St. Louis. His work focuses on understanding cell identity and differentiation, with research published in leading scientific journals, including Cell Stem Cell. As Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer of CapyBio, he is translating scientific discoveries into technologies that enable more reliable human cells for research, drug discovery, and therapeutic development.
