STEMSTL is hiring a Programs Manager to oversee the five working groups of our collective and help us manage strategic initiatives. This position will report to STEMSTL’s Executive Director. The Programs Manager will be a full-time, salaried position with BioSTL, STEMSTL’s fiscal sponsor.

As a member of the STEMSTL team, the Programs Manager will manage our five working groups, comprising educators, youth-development and community-development practitioners, and employers of St. Louis’s STEM ecosystem. These workgroups address the five strategic pillars that our ecosystem identified as critical levers to improving St. Louis’s STEM-learning and STEM-workforce system, namely:
These workgroups meet monthly to advise and help implement STEMSTL initiatives; STEMSTL staff, largely the Programs Manager, are ultimately responsible for executing the collaborative’s strategic endeavors.
The Programs Manager will also work with the Executive Director to execute initiatives of STEMSTL’s strategic plan. Duties will include:
This position requires the ability to facilitate meetings of diverse stakeholders and move stakeholders towards a common goal; excellent written and verbal communication skills; prioritization and project-planning skills; ability to work independently; flexibility and willingness to contribute to a variety of projects.
