GlobalSTL, an initiative of BioSTL, is seeking driven, resourceful candidates for the role of Healthcare Innovation Analyst to join our mission of transforming the model of health care delivery and improving the health and economic vitality of our region.
This position will report to GlobalSTL’s Director of Healthcare Innovation Trey Suntrup and will be a full-time, salaried position with BioSTL.
GlobalSTL’s mission is to build an innovation economy in St. Louis by leveraging the industrial strengths of our region, including life sciences, healthcare, and agriculture and food. Our healthcare practice focuses on convening large healthcare organizations, the buyers of innovation, onto a single platform, and deeply engaging with them to identify their most pressing needs and innovation priorities. We use these demand signals to recruit top global healthcare innovators to come to St. Louis and do business with our platform partners. GlobalSTL has built an unmatched consortium of more than 18 large healthcare organizations across 5 Midwestern states whose combined revenues exceed $420 Billion (roughly 10% of US Healthcare spend) and an international innovation sourcing platform across 15 countries.
The GlobalSTL Innovation Advisory (GIA) was founded in 2022 to build upon GlobalSTL’s international innovation sourcing platform. The GIA is a group of over a dozen healthcare executives who have held senior roles across the healthcare stakeholder ecosystem (provider, health plan, pharmacy benefits manager, employer benefits, etc.). The GIA partners with healthcare startups and growth-stage innovators to provide advisory services and introductions to potential customer relationships.
As a member of the GlobalSTL team, the Healthcare Innovation Analyst will actively participate in the following responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong interest in entrepreneurs and small business development and can develop relationships, build networks, and develop win-win solutions. Past exposure to technical evaluations and due diligence on a variety of products and services is highly desirable for this position. Other preferred skills include a demonstrated track record of conducting deep diligence of healthcare or life sciences innovation, taking initiative to learn new skills and curiosity to continuously improve current processes, an overall diversity in previous assignments that demonstrate flexibility among the ability to manage a process, planning and organization skills, namely the ability to establish work plans, multi-task and prioritize simultaneous projects, negotiation skills, working knowledge of standard contract terms, excellent listening, written and oral communication skills – to articulate complex business situations clearly and articulately with senior executives of diverse backgrounds (corporations, investors, entrepreneurs, researchers and governmental agencies), and a tolerance for ambiguity.
